Designed by FORM Architects, this landmark residence on Toscana Drive, Auckland, is set within 2,700m² of natural greenery. The exterior is a statement in itself — combining Canadian Hemlock, cedar, and Japanese charred Accoya timber with a finely crafted metal roof, balancing durability, texture, and architectural elegance.

A carefully curated landscape entrance leads into a soaring open-plan living space where architecture and nature seamlessly connect. The designer kitchen features a floating island bench, gold shadow-line detailing, and marble surfaces with warm natural veining, creating a refined yet understated atmosphere. Curved timber-lined wardrobes transition softly into cobalt-blue tiled ensuites, adding depth and contrast to the interiors.

The home unfolds with the natural contours of the land, creating a series of calm and contemplative spaces. A central reflection pond with fish and water lilies introduces a self-sustaining ecosystem into the heart of the design. Elevated private zones enjoy enhanced views and privacy, while the lower level flows directly to a resort-style pool courtyard designed for entertaining and relaxed living.

By embedding part of the building into the terrain, FORM Architects successfully balanced generous living spaces with height restrictions, achieving both the client’s vision and planning requirements.
